Fence rails for North Tyneside fence builds — stock and trade pack

Common North Tyneside jobs we supply fence rail for: Most of our North Tyneside work is on the 1960s and 70s estates — Killingworth's a planned new town from 1963 and its original fencing is mostly past replacement age now. We do full estate-run replacements coordinated with neighbours, plus a lot of post-only jobs where the panels are fine but the posts have rotted at ground level. Trade supply to landscapers working the Killingworth and Forest Hall new-build sites is steady.

If it's bigger than a back-garden run — say a developer plot or a multi-house estate — ring the yard and we'll quote the whole load with delivery built in.

Common uses

Closeboard fence between posts, post-and-rail boundary, paddock fencing, repairs after a storm.

How to install / use

Most 6ft closeboard fence uses two rails per bay; taller (7ft+) uses three. Rails sit in rebated post slots, or sit on the face of the post with rail brackets. We stock both 12ft and 14ft lengths so bays can be built without scarf joints.

What North Tyneside looks like for fencing

North Tyneside catches some coastal wind on its eastern edge (Backworth and Murton are exposed), so we'd lean to 4×4 posts on anything above a sheltered garden. Most of the original Killingworth fencing was 3×3 posts — we replace with 4×3 as standard to give a longer life. Bedrock comes close to the surface in patches around Killingworth which limits how deep posts can go; we'll spec a metpost or concrete spur if we hit it.

Neighbourhoods we drop to: Forest Hall, Longbenton, Killingworth, Benton, Wallsend, Walkergate, Backworth, Murton, Holystone, Palmersville. Plus surrounding postcodes (NE12, NE27–NE28) — drop your postcode at checkout if you're unsure.
